Personally speaking. . .
Hi!  And welcome to my website!  Let me introduce myself...Those who know me well describe me as a Renaissance woman.  I enjoy hiking, crafts, calligraphy, sewing and needlework, drawing, keeping an herb garden, am a webmaster in training (How am I doing so far?), and have an insatiable love of books (and a head full of trivia to match!)  Fellow Counselors have jokingly called me a cross between Gandhi and Donna Reed.  My Teachers call me a Healer of Hearts and a Painter of Words.  I consider myself a Seeker/Finder of Truth, the hard way!
I have been studying metaphysics and the esoteric aspects of religions since I was twelve.  I was exposed to so much of it, during the ecumenism and experimentation of the sixties.  In my youth I thought I might be an anthropologist or astronomer, and decipher Stonehenge and Easter Island.  My quest for truth and Piscean nature led me down a path attempting to unravel the mysteries of life at an early age.  As a teenager, my favorite authors were Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, and Margaret Mead, to give you an example of what I was like then.  This serious side was balanced by my odd sense of humor, derived from a multidimensional perspective about life and schoolroom Earth.
No airy-fairy, "love, light and clueless" practitioner am I.  You will no doubt find me well grounded, with my bachelor's degree in Business & Administration and far too many sheepskins on my wall to deny the existence of my left brain.  I am pragmatic to a fault, yet full of fun.
I am, unabashedly, the proud mother of two beautiful, intelligent, athletic, loving, and happy daughters, Alyssa (age 27) and Valerie (age 25.)  They are also musically and artistically gifted, and are both working with children as their life's work.  I consider my awesome daughters to be two of my greatest teachers, and can't imagine what my life would have been like without them!  I thank them, humbly, for choosing me as their mother.  And I am very proud of who and what they are, and of who they are becoming.  This year, I am pleased to welcome a fabulous son-in-law, Roger, to our family. He fits right in!
For five years, I have glided through major life changes, and as I look at how far I have come, I am amazed!  Many of those changes were planned, but some of them were wonderful surprises.  I am most grateful for my husband, Ray (some know him by his nickname, Jack).  He is a constant source of inspiration, strength, equanimity, love - and, yes, humor.  He brings light and compassion wherever he goes, and makes the world (and my world) such a joyful place in which to be and grow.
For over fifteen years, I have enjoyed being a Counselor and Life Coach.  I am on a continual quest for concepts and tools which further expand my consciousness (and that of my clients), and which heal and balance me.  Life Coaching is a natural extension of my tendency to want to share anything that enhances my own growth.  It is more concretely goal-oriented than counseling, but there are obvious similarities to counseling.  I also thoroughly enjoyed my role as student liaison for the graduate counseling program at the College of St. Rose, and as an adjunct professor at Marist College.
Not a day goes by in my life when I don't say "I LOVE what I do for a living!"  My wish is that everyone will be courageous enough to take the necessary steps to follow their bliss, as well.  I am pleased to be a trailblazer, and am immensely grateful to those who preceded me.  The trail is immensely rewarding, and leads inexorably home.
We are living in an amazing age.  Much is happening in our world, and we are all co-creating it.  The most important point I can make about the world situation is this:  If we can clear our own emotional bodies of their shadows and unresolved emotions, and take responsibility for our thoughts, feelings and behavior, we are, in fact, healing the earth and everyone on it. This is literally true, because we live in a holographic universe, and the microcosm and macrocosm reflect each other.   Remember, too, that in 3D earth we learn through polarity.  As long as we are in judgment, we are creating an energy that teaches us through pain.   But, there IS another way...
Would you like to learn through JOY?  If you would like help with this task of healing yourself and restructuring your belief system so it works well for you, I can help make it as effortless as possible for you.  Your life will unfold more easily if you remove the unconscious self-sabotaging blockages to fulfilling your soul's purpose.   I can help you uncover and release them.  You still have to do the work, but it will be healing and joyous.  My quest for time-saving healing tools and concepts has led me to discover many short-cuts, some of which I share with you in these pages.  I also offer individual counseling and coaching sessions over the phone, workshops designed to your specifications and special needs, and am available to speak to your group about personal growth topics.
Enjoy following your own unique path!  Remember that life is more about the journey than the destination.  For, our destination is assured!  Let me know if I can be of any assistance to you on your way Home!  And may all the stones along your path be gems!
Wishing You Peace and Joy,
Linda

Can you imagine planting a garden before pulling the weeds?  Of course not.!  For healing to be effective and lasting, emotional clearing work is essential.  Some call it "shadow work" or "release work", some call it "letting go of the past", but it is necessary for healing on all levels: body, mind and spirit. When done successfully, it frees valuable life force (that had been used for repression) so that your body can heal, and so your heart's desires can be manifest more easily and effortlessly.  If we learn to create more consciously, then we will be creating less unconsciously (from our fears!)
There are many ways to do emotional clearing work, but the process always involves accessing emotionally or  physically the stuck/unexpressed energy, and releasing it, with the intent to heal.  (Remember that THINKING ABOUT your emotions is NOT the same as feeling them!) Emotional clearing can include journaling, vocalization, or by accessing the energy meridians where trauma is blocking the energy flow. This released energy must be then be transmuted.  This process can be learned, and is a valuable life skill.  Stop beating yourself up for not knowing what you were never taught!
As an adjunct to healing, you will more effectively co-create your life if you learn ways to weed out your belief systems, and manipulate your creative thought energy.   This involves a re-education process, and awakening the sleeping Master within.
We are very fortunate to be living at a time when there are so many transformative tools to help in our psychological and emotional healing processes.  Some that I consider helpful for transformation are:
*N.E.A.T. neuro emotional anti-sabotage technique
*E.M.D.R. eye movement desensitization and reprocessing
*creative visualization exercises
*Keylontic Science and Kathara Healing
*recognition and elimination of cognitive distortions and other defense mechanisms
*understanding projection (see A.C.I.M. page)
*regular spiritual practice, including meditation
*periodically doing an inventory of the draining and augmenting influences in your life
*goal-setting
*dream interpretation
*toning, chanting and drumming
*releasing repressed emotions and memories
*therapeutic essential oils consciously applied at certain trigger points to foster emotional release and a changed perspective
*chiropractic care, massage, other body work
*breathwork
*hypnosis or regression
